Installing Catalyst 10.0 SP3:
(Note: contact us for download & instructions if you are using Catalyst 10 64bit version)
Please ensure Alchemy Catalyst is not running before applying the patch. Once downloaded, run Cat10_SP3.exe and make sure the path you select for the installation of the patch matches your current installation path of Alchemy Catalyst 10.0.
To find out where Alchemy Catalyst has been installed on your system please go to Start > All Programs > Alchemy Catalyst 10.0, right click on Alchemy Catalyst 10.0 and select Properties. You will then find the installation path information under "target".
Please change the path under Unzip Folder to in the patch window accordingly. The default installation path for Alchemy Catalyst 10.0 is as follows:
- Windows 32-bit operating systems
C:\Program Files\Alchemy Software\Catalyst 10.0.
- Windows 64-bit operating systems
C:\Program Files (x86)\Alchemy Software\Catalyst 10.0.
This maintenance release addresses and enhances a number of important areas within Alchemy CATALYST 10.0.
SP3 Major Enhancements:
String List Filters
- Inconsistent Translated and Original Filters improved - they now display all cases of inconsistency rather than filtering out duplicates. Strings are now sorted on Original or Translated as applicable.
Glossary Support
- Support for multilingual TBX glossaries enhanced.
- Support for Term Manager termbases upgraded to Term Manager version 4.6
Stability and Performance Enhancements
- There were some cases of instability when opening a ttk while another large HTML ttk was being saved, this has been addressed.
- Investigation of crash reports pointed to a specific stability issue which has now been resolved.
SP3 Minor Enhancements:
Validate Expert
- The Validate Expert occasionally reported errors which were not actually issues on strings containing keywords, this has been addressed.
Licensing
- Checkin of a licence through ezScript on Catalyst x64 edition now enabled.
Installation
- Installation of Catalyst from the msi file instead of Setup.exe now registers components.
