Configure Glossary & TM |
Alchemy CATALYST uses Glossaries and Translation Memories to provide translation suggestions in the Translator Toolbar. Alchemy CATALYST supports virtually all industry standard TM and Glossary formats.
Go to Tools -> Options and select Glossary from the list provided.
To open a new Glossary and use it for terminology lookup and consistency checks, click on the button.
Locate the glossary file CATALYST40_EN_JA.tmx and specify this as the name of your glossary file.
Press OK to load the glossary and use it for terminology lookups in the Translator Toolbar.
When prompted, select English as the source language and Japanese as the Target Language.
Go to Tools -> Options and select PowerTranslate from the list provided.
To activate a new Translation Memory and use it for terminology lookup, click on the button.
Locate the Project TTK CATALYST40_EN_JA.TTK and specify this as the name of your Translation Memory. Also locate the TMX file CATALYST40_EN_JA.TMX and use this as a TM too.
Set Fuzzy Match to 65% to maximize your re-use of translations.
Press OK to activate this TM and use it for terminology lookups in the Translator Toolbar.
Now that a TM and Glossary file have been configured, translation suggestions will can now be presented in the Translators Toolbar. This will help the translator maintain translation consistency while he works on a translation project.
