Translate Expert |
The Translate Expert is used to apply translations to one or more documents by using the contents of one or more Translation Memories.
You can use Alchemy PUBLISHER to translate Word documents, HTML, SGML, XML, FrameMaker, text files, software applications and XLIFF documents.
To translate one or more documents, follow the steps below:
From the Tools menu, choose Translate Expert. The Translate Expert dialog box opens.
Add files to the Files to Translate list:
In the Files to Translate section, click on and locate the files you wish to translate. Click Open to add them to the Files to Translate list. Use the [SHIFT] and [CTRL] keys to select more than one file at a time.

Prepare the translation operation as follows:
In the Choose TM Sources section, click to open a Translation Memory. Several Translation Memories can be opened by clicking on this option.
Use the and
keys to change the order in which a Translation Memory is searched. This is helpful when using several Translations Memories in a single Translate operation.

Set the Fuzzy Match threshold value by a decimal value directly. To ensure high quality results, it is recommended to use a value equal or greater than 85%.
To create a new Translate Log File or locate an existing log file, click the button and locate it on your desktop PC.
Now click Translate.. to start the translate process.
The Make Projects option is used to convert source documents into Alchemy PUBLISHER project files. These are bilingual files with an appended file extension of . PPF . This option is useful at the start of a translation project when large groups of source files need to be prepared for translation.
Click on the Change button to specify a new source and target language for your files to be analyzed. This is important when your using multi-lingual translation memories such as Alchemy Language Exchange.
