3rd Party .NET Controls

Alchemy CATALYST supports the display and localization of 3rd party controls in .NET applications. It will also cache any dependant assemblies in a Project TTK required to fully display 3rd party controls. This ensures that translators working on Project TTKs containing such controls will be able to view them visually in the Dialog Editor,

In the example above, a 3rd party spreadsheet grid is displayed in a .NET winform. This is a 3rd party control developed by Infragistics, a market leader in .NET UI Components. Since Alchemy CATALYST caches the Infragistics Assemblies in the Project TTK, any engineer or translator that opens this Project will be able to view this control in the Dialog Editor, irregardless of whether this control in actually installed on their desktop.

This ensures that translators and engineers work in a highly visual and contextual rich localization environment at all times.

In order to cache dependant assemblies in a Project TTK, they must be available on the machine that the Project TTK is created on. This ensures that Alchemy CATALYST can locate them and cache them correctly in the Project TTK. This in the only time during the localization process that assemblies need to be available to Alchemy CATALYST.
