Dramatically reduced localization engineering cycles

Alchemy Layout Manager™ is a productivity application for localization engineers. By analyzing the layout of application user interfaces, it creates new layouts for localized applications. These computer generated layouts require less testing and less engineering helping to reduce project cycle times. This ensure that applications are released to international markets quicker.

Alchemy Layout Manager 3.0 is now fully integrated into Alchemy CATALYST. It also supports all desktop platforms, including Win16, Win32s, Win64x and all variations of Microsoft .NET 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0. It also includes support for Visual Basic .NET and Visual XLIFF applications.

• Alchemy Layout Manager: Alchemy Layout Manager is now part of the Alchemy CATALYST Experts family of technologies and can operate on individual forms, forms within an active project or even a folder containing Project TTKs. This makes it incredibly powerful at automating the layout of translated applications and dramatically reduces engineering costs.

• Interactive Layout Toolbar: The interactive toolbar appears when forms have layout problems. One click creates an automatic layout. You can also select individual objects on the form and Alchemy Layout Manager will auto-shape them for you. To regress to a previous layout, simply click on Revert. You can also toggle between original and computer generated layouts with one click of the mouse.

• Analysis of auto-layouts: Alchemy Layout Manager now analyses computer generated layouts and provides meaningful feedback to the engineer on the success of each layout operation in the Results toolbar. This ensures that engineers can quickly locate any form that may still have issues after layout.
