Alchemy CATALYST uses the Microsoft Installer technology to copy its programme files and data to your machine. This ensures that your desktop configuration conforms to the Microsoft specification and can be reconfigured easily through the Windows Control Panel utilities.

This license type is the most commonly used. It binds the software to a specific workstation. This type of installation is most effective when there is little or no need to share the license, or move it from one workstation to another. This is also the default type of license for all Alchemy products.
This license type requires communication between the client software (the application installed on the user’s PC) and network license management software (Alchemy NETWORK License Manager) installed on a central license server. When an Alchemy CATALYST installation runs, it acquires a license from the server, returning that license when it is shut down. Licenses can thus be “floated” over an entire corporate network, transferring from one workstation to the next as required. Using Network Licenses, Alchemy CATALYST is available anytime, anyplace, anywhere.
To install Alchemy CATALYST as a 'Stand-Alone' license
To install your license insert the Alchemy CATALYST product CD in your CD-Rom drive and follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
If your Alchemy CATALYST product CD does not auto start, click Start from the Windows Task Bar, choose Run, then type d:\SETUP.EXE in the Open textbox and click OK.

If d: is not your CD ROM drive, substitute the correct drive letter before attempting to launch SETUP.EXE |
The installation of Alchemy CATALYST can take several minutes. Once you have completed your installation of the software programmes, Alchemy CATALYST will launch itself and run in evaluation mode until you Activate the product. For more information see Activating the program.

Use the Microsoft Control Panel to uninstall Alchemy CATALYST from your machines. Select Start and then click on Control Panel.
From the Control Panel main screen, select Add or Remove Programs. A list of all the programs installed on your machine will be displayed on the screen. Select Alchemy CATALYST from this list and click on the Remove button.
