Use Export Project to export the selected contents of a Project TTKs to different Translation Memory and Glossary formats. Alchemy CATALYST provides support for many of the leading industry Translation Memory and Glossary formats.

Alchemy CATALYST provides a mechanism to filter the content of a Project TTK prior to export.

All segments: Select this option extract all strings in a Project TTK file to an Export format file.

Translated segments: Select this option to export only translated strings into an Export format file.

Untranslated segments  Select this option to export untranslated segments into an Export format file.

Flagged Segments: Select this option to export flagged segments into an Export format file.

Custom: Select this option to export segments with a custom status.

Additional options that can be selected are:

Remove duplicate strings: Select this option to ignore all duplicate strings during a Project TTK export.

Remove lead/trail spaces: Select this option to remove all spaces from the start and end of each string.

Remove ampersands: Select this option to remove all hotkey characters from exported strings.

Exclude locked/frozen strings: Select this option to ignore all strings that are locked or frozen during a Project TTK export operation.

Export Formats

A Project TTK can be exported to a wide range of file formats. These are summarized in the table below.

XLIFF

Industry Standard XLIFF 1.2 format.

Glossary

Select this option when exporting a Project TTK to a text file or a standard XML bilingual file.

TMX

Translation Memory Interchange format. This is an industry standard that provides support for sharing Translation Memory content between different Translation Memory tools. Select this option if you wish to create a Translation Memory that can be used with SDLX, Deja Vue and WordFast TM tools.

TXML

TXML files can be used with GlobalLink, TransStudio and WordFast tools. Select this option if you want to export a translation memory that is compatible with any of the products.

TBX

Terminology Interchange format. This is an industry standard format for exchanging terms or glossary information.

UTF-16 is the default encoding used during an Export to Glossary operation.
