Use File Extract to create/build a localized online help system. Alchemy CATALYST can build localised help systems directly from it's project environment. Alchemy CATALYST uses the Microsoft Help Compiler to build HTML based help systems. This compiler must be already installed on your desktop in order to build a compiled help system.

To install the Microsoft Help Compiler, please go to \TOOLS and launch the application hhupd.exe.

Build a localized online help system

  1. Open phases.ttk using File - Open Project ,

  2. Right click the online help file Vortex Demo.CHM in the folder Online Help Systems and select Extract File.

  3. Use the File Extract dialog box and locate the folder \SAMPLES\OUT.

  4. Press OK to extract a localised application file to this work folder.

  5. Double click on Vortex Demo.CHM to launch your localized online help system.

The folder \SAMPLES\OUT contains re-distributable files from Adobe  RoboHelp which are required to rebuild this help system. Therefore it's important to use this folder in order to correctly compile this demonstration help system.
