The Alchemy CATALYST family of experts is presented on the EXPERTS ribbon in a logical fashion grouping the early, and late stage experts according to when and how they may be used.
Press the main button to invoke the Expert, or (when available) use the drop-down menu to access the settings for that Expert via the Options... command.

EXPERTS ribbon

Preparation
- Pseudo Translate Expert: Create a mock translation to simulate the effects of a real translation
- Locks & Keywords: Protect words and entire segments so they do not get translated during the localization process
- Project Division Expert: Divide Catalyst projects into smaller projects to speed up the localization process
- Comparison Expert: Compare versions of a file to find added, removed and modified resources
Translation Memory
- Leverage Expert: Reuse translations from a translation memory to translate this Catalyst project
- Update Expert: Replace a file within a Catalyst project with a newer one, while keeping all translations and metadata such as memos
- Cleanup Expert: Consolidate translations from one or many Catalyst projects into a single translation memory (*.tm) file
- Alignment Expert: Use previously translated version of a file to make a translation memory. Align source and target versions
Reporting
- Validate Expert: Check for errors in your translated Catalyst projects
- Analysis Expert: Analyze your project against a translation memory to check translation costs, or generate a report outlining the word-count and translation status
Dialogs
- Layout Manager: Automatically resize dialogs to accommodate longer text translations
Terminology
- Term Harvest Expert: Automatically identify terms within your Catalyst projects to create a terminology database
Package Files
- Create Catalyst Package: Collect translation memory, terminology and project files to distribute to others who will work on your files.
