Issue

Unable to Display Hotkeys on Dialogs of Alchemy Catalyst UI.

Reason

Windows Default Behavior. With the introduction of Windows XP, Microsoft defaulted Windows do not display hotkeys until the ALT key was hit on the keyboard.

Solution

Turning On Hotkeys in Windows XP

The hotkey functionality is actually a feature that you'll need to switch on in Windows itself.

You can change this behavior to permanently display hotkeys by right clicking on the desktop and selecting Properties from the drop down menu that appears. Then select the Appearance tab on the form that appears. Click on the Effects button and this dialog will appear:

You can toggle this feature on/off by selecting the "Hide underlined letters for keyboard navigation until I press the Alt key" tick box..

With this feature toggled-off, Alchemy CATALYST will obey your configuration and display all hotkeys permanently on the screen.

Turning On Hotkeys in Windows 7

Open Control Panel / Ease of Access Center / Make the Keyboard easier to use.

This option is at the bottom of the window.

Underline keyboard shortcuts and access keys.
