Status -88 in Help | About Catalyst |
IssueThe About Catalyst dialog shows a -88 status or/and the license.log file under c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Alchemy Software\Catalyst X.X\ shows the below message: 18:32:50 (ALCHEMY) System clock setback detected When this happens you will not be able to run Alchemy Catalyst in a licensed mode.
ReasonThe -88 status seen in the About Catalyst dialog identifies that the system time/date is not in a valid state.
SolutionTo resolve this issue download the following zip file: Customer_ResetTimer.zip After the download has finished please extract the .exe file to c:\Program Files\Alchemy Software\Catalyst X.X\. Please ensure that Alchemy Catalyst is completely closed down. Go to Task Manager, check for the lmgrd.exe and Alchemy.exe under the process tab, if both processes are running please stop them starting with lmgrd.exe. Run the Customer_ResetTimer.exe (it is important that you run it from the Catalyst directory). Press Request Key 2 in the Customer ResetTimer application. Send and receive keys to unlock the systemSend the key you receive to us at support@alchemysoftware.ie. When we receive your Key 1, we will reply to you a Key 2, which you can use to unlock the system.
