Problems experienced with activating Alchemy Catalyst |
Errors encountered during activation
IssueFailed to decrypt license file. ReasonOne of the most common reason for Alchemy Catalyst to start unlicensed is the antivirus blocking the application, for example McAfee or BitDefender Internet Security antivirus. You may not be notified while the antivirus software has blocked Alchemy Catalyst. SolutionTurn off antivirus software or uninstall. For example in McAfee, you will need to add Catalyst.exe, Alchemy.exe and lmgrd.exe to "McAfee Host Intrusion Prevention", on the second tab Firewall Policy.
IssueError -7: License file created successfully but failed to activate Catalyst! Please reboot your machine! ReasonUsing *.cert files requested for a different PC to activate your Alchemy Catalyst installationPlease note that you cannot activate your installation of Alchemy Catalyst with a *.cert file that was requested for a different PC. Each *.cert file is bound by an installation ID so it can only be used to activate Alchemy Catalyst on the PC that it was requested from. In this case you will need to send an activation request to info@alchemysoftware.com from the PC that you wish to activate Alchemy Catalyst on. Using *.cert files that have already been used to activate your installation of CatalystYou will not be able to activate Alchemy Catalyst using a *.cert file that you have previously activated Alchemy Catalyst with. In this case you will need to send a new activation request to info@alchemysoftware.com and we will reply with a new *.cert file for you to activate Alchemy Catalyst on your machine. SolutionTo generate the activation request, go to Start menu > All programs > Alchemy Catalyst X > Activation > Activate Catalyst
