This expert is used to simulate the effects of translation on the project files. It does this by substituting vowel characters in the source files with diacritical or accented characters.

Select Tools - Pseudo Translate Expert (or click on the relevant button on the Experts Toolbar) to launch the Pseudo Translate Expert.

The Pseudo Translate Expert can be used early in the product development cycle to determine if an application can be translated easily. It may be used, for example, to determine if an application crashes if a series of strings are translated; or if a series of strings will fit on a dialog panel if they expand as a result of the translation process.
